The Branch AGM was held on 11 July 2023 at the Jumeirah Emirates Towers Hotel in the Dubai International Finance Centre (‘DIFC’), Dubai. Robert Sliwinski (UAE Branch Chair) delivered the Chair Report and Glenn Trueick (UAE Branch Vice-Chair) delivered the Financial Statement and report approving the election of members to the Branch Committee for 2023.

This was followed by a seminar presented by Ms. Aarta AlKarimi, , Partner at Chrysalis llp. The title of this presentation was "Compliance with preconditions to Arbitration, a matter of admissibility of the parties’ claims or tribunal’s jurisdiction". 

Ciarb members also attended a social event following the AGM to network, meet new friends and discuss recent developments in international arbitration
